May 18, 2009 – Lake Forest, CA: Ballast is a huge factor in determining if an energy saving lamp uses power efficiently with sustainable life. The Chroma 8495 Ballast ATS uses a high frequency measurement card parallel test that saves the expense of power analyzer and oscilloscopes providing a cost-effective solution. Full functions including preheat time, cathode voltage/current, lamp voltage/current/frequency/power, input harmonic, output efficiency and open circuit protection. The 8495 ATS is capable of testing the output of four ballasts or eight lamps simultaneously meeting high production performance requirements.
The hardware devices available for customization include AC/DC Power Supply, Power Meter, PCI interface function card, Ballast Tester and Ballast Fixture Box. The software makes auto judgments of PASS/FAIL and features report and statistic generation capabilities. Chroma 8495 ATS software runs under Windows 98/2000/NT/XP operating environment providing the test engineer a dedicated electronic ballast testing system with easy access to Windows resources. The 8495 is most applicable for testing and verification in mass production or quality assurance.
